• Commissioners approve removal of Triangle turn lane requirement (lakenormanpublications.com) — Lincoln County commissioners meeting in Lincolnton have dropped a key road-improvement requirement for the Rivercross development after the developer couldn’t secure needed right-of-way, clearing the way for 100,000 square feet of commercial space and 40 townhomes. They also handled a Denver rezoning request and delayed changes to the county’s exotic animal ordinance after one commissioner opposed the revisions.
