• PSRC extends Explore Learning contract (robesonian.com) — Local families should know the Public Schools of Robeson County voted to extend its Explore Learning Gizmo science licenses for another year, keeping digital science tools in classrooms. The board also celebrated Lumberton High School’s FFA chapter for earning a top national honor and recognized standout staff from several district schools.
   

• Pirates win 8 events, boys team competition at TCC swim meet (robesonian.com) — Lumberton High’s boys swim team dominated the Tri-County Conference meet in Fayetteville, winning eight events and the overall boys title while the girls team took a strong second place. Local swimmers from Lumberton and Purnell Swett posted multiple wins, podium finishes, and relay victories across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly events.
   

• Woman charged in fatal hit-and-run in Red Springs (robesonian.com) — A Red Springs woman has been charged after a 72-year-old pedestrian died at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton following an early-morning hit-and-run on South Main Street. Police say the victim was struck by a white SUV, and investigators later located the vehicle and identified a suspect. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact Red Springs police.
