Body Of Missing Statesville Man Located In Wooded Area: Sheriff
Iredell County deputies located the body of Curtis Allen Wuellner Monday, two days after his family reported him missing.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — The body of an Iredell County man reported missing over the weekend was located Monday afternoon about one mile from his lakefront neighborhood home, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Curtis Allen Wuellner, 50, who was last seen at his Laurel Cove Road home on the evening of Friday, Aug. 7, was reported missing Saturday by his family, according to the sheriff's office.
"When family members woke up on Saturday morning, Curtis was not in the residence," ICSO said in a statement. "Family members thought he was at their dock."

When he didn't come home, however, family members began to look for him and called neighbors. They then notified the sheriff's office that he was missing and that he had diabetes and may be in need of medication.
Members of the ICSO lake patrol units, alongside members of area volunteer fire departments, responded to the scene and launched a search of the Laurel Cove area Saturday.
