Domestic Incident Leads To Arrest Of Man Wanted In California
According to ICSO, Brian Kenneth Kinder is accused of assaulting by strangulation a woman who was visiting Mooresville for the holiday.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A man wanted in California now faces a list of felony charges following a Dec. 26 domestic incident in Mooresville, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
According to an ICSO report, deputies responded to a location near Brawley School and Isle of Pines roads Saturday after receiving an emergency call regarding a domestic incident.
The victim, who told deputies she had traveled to Mooresville from California for Christmas, identified Brian Kenneth Kinder, 39, as the suspect.

"Based on statements and evidence obtained, the deputies were able to obtain five arrest warrants on Kinder," ICSO said. "While doing background on Kinder, it was determined he had outstanding arrest warrants from California with full extradition on a weapons related offense, and a conditional release violation."
Deputies attempted to serve the warrants Dec. 27 after receiving information that Kinder was in a home on Waterford Drive.

"When they arrived, Kinder was inside the residence and refused to obey commands, and to open the open the door," ICSO said. "Kinder then threatened to harm any deputies who came to arrest him."
Deputies entered the home and Kinder was taken into custody.
Kinder was charged with felony assault by strangulation inflicting serious injury; misdemeanor assault on a female; two counts of misdemeanor resist, delay, and obstruct a public
Officer; two counts of misdemeanor communicating threats; misdemeanor injury to personal property; misdemeanor false imprisonment; and felony fugitive from justice.
