Here are the top stories in Mooresville today:

1. According to Lake Norman Publications, after sustaining two gunshot wounds a man in his late 50's was taken to an area trauma center for emergency treatment and surgery. The man is reportedly in serious condition. Three people, Markis Allan Kirkpatrick and Andiaye Tyler from Charlotte and Keishari Chanel-Wicks Johnson from Las Vegas, were arrested in relation to the incident, which began as a reported kidnapping turned into a shooting early Sunday morning by Lake Norman between Mooresville and Troutman. Criminal investigators transported the three individuals to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Reportedly, while gathering information at the crime scene, a semiautomatic pistol, three loaded magazines, and a bag containing additional items were located in the parking lot, the sheriff’s office said.
