Mooresville Library To Host Online Teen Short Story Workshop
At the end of this free writing workshop led by local writer Katherine L.E. White, participants will see their short stories published.
MOORESVILLE, NC — An upcoming writing event series hosted by the Mooresville Public Library will give young writers an opportunity to work with a published author and see their short stories published in a book that will be added to the library's young adult collection, according to event organizers.
"This event is a great way for budding writers to get involved with the library, meet other teens with similar interests, and learn more about writing from a published author," said Mooresville Public Library Teen Librarian Megan Mosher.
The event will be led by local author Katherine L.E. White.

"Katherine has conducted several writing programs for us in the past," Mosher told Patch in an email. "This past summer the Teen Advisory Board requested some writing workshops on fanfiction. I reached out to Katherine who is known as “Illusiona” in the fanfiction world. The teens loved it and we had a great turnout and they requested more workshops this Fall."
The Teen Short Story Writing Workshops is set to take place virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 2, Sept. 9, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23 at 5 :30 p.m. The series is free and open to students in sixth grade through twelfth grade, ages 13 to 18.
