Mooresville Mayor Announces New Town Manager

The new town manager has served as assistant city manager and city manager for other municipalities.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Mayor Miles Atkins announced Monday the town's new Town Manager has been selected, according to a release from the town. Randy Hemann, who's serving as the High Point assistant city manager, is going to take on the role.

Hemann has also served as the city manager for Oxford and has run several economic and downtown redevelopments throughout the state, the release says.

"Randy is a results-oriented leader who has spent his career serving and revitalizing communities," Atkins said in the release. "He brings strong leadership, communication and organizational skills to this task."

Hemann will begin work as the town manager on Sept. 16.

The release says Hemann has a bachelor's degree in political science from Marshall University and a master's degree in Public Administration from East Carolina University. He's married has a son and likes outdoor activities.
