Mooresville Woman Faces List Of Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville woman faces a list of drug charges, including felony trafficking of hydrocodone, following a recent traffic stop on Oak Ridge Farm Highway.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Kimberly Rice Garrison, 50, of Mooresville was stopped Sept. 3 while driving a 1999 Infiniti. During the course of the stop, Garrison, who had a revoked driver's license, consented to a search of the vehicle.

"While searching the vehicle deputies located a pouch which contained 14 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 30 dosage units of Hydrocodone, and items of drug paraphernalia to include, a digital scale and baggies consistent with the sale of drugs," ICSO said in a statement.

The drugs found in the car had an estimated street value of more than $2,000.

Garrison was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. She was charged with felony trafficking Level II Hydrocodone by possession; felony trafficking Level II Hydrocodone by transport; felony possession with intent to sale or deliver Methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sale or deliver Schedule II (Hydrocodone); felony maintain a vehicle for sale and use of controlled substance; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; and misdemeanor driving while license revoked.
