Mooresville's 12 Days Of Christmas To Kick Off Dec. 1: Details

Santa on a truck, Christmas crafts and holiday treat bags are just some events planned in Mooresville this year.

MOORESVILLE, NC — While the ongoing pandemic has changed many things about the holiday countdown this year, the Town of Mooresville has a list of fun, family-friendly events planned this year that aim to help spread holiday cheer safely.

Mooresville Parks & Recreation's Twelve Days of Christmas in Mooresville kicks off Dec. 1.

  • Dec. 1, Reindeer Food Frenzy— Swing by the Charles Mack Citizen Center's courtyard between 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and grab a bag of complimentary reindeer food to feed Santa's gang on Christmas Eve! You can also take a picture in our decorated courtyard.
  • Dec. 6 & Dec. 13, Santa on a Truck — Catch Santa as he rides atop a firetruck throughout Mooresville's parks between 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
    • Hope Park — 1 p.m.to 1:30 p.m.
    • Conelius Park — 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Bellingham Park — 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
    • Main Street — 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Dec. 7, Holiday Treat Bags — Swing by the Charles Mack Citizen Center's courtyard between 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and gran a complimentary holiday treat bag. You can also take a picture in our decorated courtyard.
  • Dec. 8, Acrylic Painting Workshop — guests will follow along the step-by-step painting tutorial to create their own holiday masterpiece. The class will take place at the War Memorial Center from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Fee is $35 and registration is required.
  • Dec. 10, Santa Call Center — Sign up via Sign-up Genius to receive a phone or Zoom call from Santa from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required.
  • Dec. 10 - Dec. 23, 10 Days of Christmas Crafts — guests can join us at the Selma Burke Center for 10 Days of Crafts for $30. During the two-week period, we will create a new craft each weekday. Registration is required.
  • Dec. 11, Non-Gingerbread Creations — Guests can join us at Selma Burke Center from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to create your very own non-gingerbread house. Houses will be made of wood and other non-edible materials. The cost is $10 per kit. Registration is required.
  • Dec. 12, Winter Wonderland — Recreate a winter wonderland with beautiful snow globes. Using a mason jar as the globe, you'll add a snowman and Christmas tree inside, topping it off with snow and glitter. The craft is from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., and is for ages 12+. Supplies are provided. Registration is required.
  • Dec. 14, Holiday Grab-N-Go Craft — Swing by the Charles Mack Citizen Center's courtyard between 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and grab a craft kit that includes supplies to make your own holiday ornament! You can also take a picture in our decorated courtyard.
  • Dec. 15, Letters to Santa & Holiday Coloring Sheet — Drop your letter to Santa and completed coloring sheet off in the "Letters to Santa" mailbox at the Charles Mack Citizen Center's courtyard by Dec. 15. All coloring sheets will be displayed at CMCC until New Years. The letter template & coloring sheet can be found here.
  • Dec. 17 - Dec. 19, Holiday Spirit Photo Contest — Show us your holiday spirit by submitting photos of your decorations, lights, trees or best holiday attire! Submit photos by Dec. 16 to nsloop@mooresvillenc.gov. You can submit your votes by liking the photos posted on the Town of Mooresville's Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
  • Dec. 21, Holiday Hot Cocoa Kits — Visit the Charles Mack Citizen Center's courtyard between 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and grab a holiday hot cocoa kit.
