  1. It was a touchdown like no other! James Steers, who has Down Syndrome, plays for the Mooresville Youth Athletic Team Twisters. Over the weekend his fellow players on the field made sure James was able to run in a touchdown for the team. Reportedly, James’ parent shared the video with WCCB, and tells them, “it’s such a beautiful moment. Everyone should see it.” (WCCB Charlotte)
  2. On July 23, Chase Elliott will join the SRX lineup for the season finale, which will be held at Sharon Speedway. Last season Elliot raced at in the SRX series at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee where he won the feature event. (SPEED SPORT)
  3. Get ready for a huge animal adoption event! Saturday, May 28, at Iredell County Fairgrounds the Inaugural Rescue Roundup event is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Piedmont Animal Rescue, in conjunction with Aloft Mooresville and LKNFEST, has invited every 501(c)3 Animal Rescue Organization and county animal shelters throughout North Carolina to take part in this premiere event. Complete with hundreds of adoptable animals, there will also be the K9s in Flight Frisbee Dog Show (multiple show times), vendors, food trucks, a Kid Zone and more. Don't miss it!
