Search On For Missing Iredell County Woman With Dementia: Sheriff

MOORESVILLE, NC — A search is on for an Iredell County woman diagnosed with early stage dementia, Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday afternoon.

Evelyn Edmisten Funderburk was reported missing by her family, who told the sheriff's office she was last seen wearing a tan corduroy jacket, tan pants and a large reddish colored hat.

Early Tuesday morning, Funderburk was seen at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Around 8 a.m., her silver 2013 Kia Optima was spotted on Highway 3 in the area of Kistler Farm Road near Mooresville.

Funderburk's vehicle has NC tag XVF-8684.

ICSO said anyone with information about her location is asked to call the Sheriff's office at 704-878-3180, or call 9-1-1.
