IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An Iredell County woman was arrested and charged with stalking and cyberstalking after the sheriff's office said she repeatedly called a victim who she had been previously ordered to not contact.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Carolyn Michelle Jones, 49, of Statesville used
several telephone numbers to contact the victim in late July. The victim then filed a report with the sheriff's office Aug. 5.

Investigators "gathered numerous voicemails and text messages the suspect had sent the victim over the course of several days," the sheriff's office said in a statement. Based upon the evidence, as well as an existing no-contact release order in place related to previous charges against Jones involving the same victim, warrants for her arrest were issued on the charges of misdemeanor cyberstalking and felony stalking.
