Two Arrested After String Of Break-Ins In Mooresville

Police allege the two suspects stole tools from and construction items from several local businesses.

MOORESVILLE, NC —Two Mooresville residents have been arrested and charged in connection to a recent string of burglaries across Mooresville, Troutman and Kannapolis, police said in a release Wednesday.

Police in Mooresville allege Timothy Dillon West, 28, and Heather Nicole Readling, 29, had stolen around $40,000 worth of power tools, air compressors and other construction items in burglaries dating back to April.

Police said during an investigation, officers searched a car associated with both suspects and a storage unit linked to Readling and found multiple power tools and pieces of construction equipment.

The two were each charged with breaking and entering, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen property and felony conspiracy.

Police said West was out on bond when the burglaries occurred. He had been arrested in March on suspicion of breaking into construction sites.

West was given a $110,000 bail amount, and Readling was assigned a $53,500 bail amount.
