  1. Mooresville vape shop employees were held at gunpoint on Sunday when Hope 1 Tobacco and Vape store at the Rocky River Promenade Shopping Center was robbed. "The armed robbery suspect is currently being sought. Employees told police a man entered the store with a gun and demanded money from the cash register and then fled the scene. ... Surveillance video showed the suspect appearing to be leaving in a black Ford Explorer. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact officials at 704-658-9023," according to a Fox 46 Charlotte article. (Fox 46 Charlotte)
  2. Four rare Mustangs were uncovered recently in a very lucky "barn find," according to an autoeveolution article. "Dennis Collins was lucky enough to stumble upon a stash of classic Mustangs in Mooresville. And needless to say, he immediately jumped on a plane and went on to buy them. Sitting in storage since the early 1990s, all four Mustangs are authentic barn finds. But unlike many classics that were parked for three decades, these classic ponies are still in great shape. And more importantly, they still have their numbers-matching V8 engines under their hoods. But there's even more good news. Not only have these cars been preserved in relatively good condition, they're also rarer than the average pony." (autoevolution)
  3. In racing news, 19 year-old Sam Mayer returns to JR Motorsports. According to a NASCAR article, "Mayer will return to JR Motorsports and race full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2023. He will again pilot the No. 1 Chevrolet in his third consecutive season with JRM. Mayer, who ran a part-time schedule in 2021, is currently 21 races into his first full-time season with the organization. Ninth in the championship standings with only five races remaining before the playoff cutoff, he’s squarely in the hunt on the strength of eight top-five and 11 top-10 finishes, including a string of seven top-five efforts in eight races earlier this year."
