  1. It happened again! Two cars caught on fire mysteriously early Monday morning. This is becoming a pattern. At approximately 1 a.m. at The Pointe at Midtown Apartments on Navaho Drive, crews responded to two cars bursting into flames. Similar incidents happened earlier in the month, on May 4 and again on May 20, all within a 15-minute radius. According to WRAL News, "Police believe the fires from May 4 were set on purpose; however, they have not given any word yet on what may have started Monday morning's fires." (WRAL News)
  2. On Sunday night in Cary, a pedestrian was struck by the driver of an SUV and died. The incident reportedly happened at the intersection of Buck Jones Road and Nottingham Drive. According to WRAL News, "Sixty-one-year-old Minase Agegenhu was hit at 9:12 p.m. The driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Valemetria Lassiter of Raleigh, stayed at the scene. She is now charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, as well as failure to reduce speed." (WRAL News)
