Chesterbrook Academy® Students Donate Hundreds of Food To Food Bank

Students held a food drive to benefit Children's Hunger Fund

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary & Middle School in Cary recently donated hundreds of items to Children’s Hunger Fund, an organization that helps to distribute food to over 300 million children around the world. Over the past two weeks, students held a food drive to collect nonperishable food items to benefit individuals supported by the organization. After the collection, students organized the donations into packs and cases to be delivered to Children’s Hunger Fund.

In addition to the food drive, students wrote cards for residents at a local nursing home, in an effort to brighten their day this holiday season. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of helping community members in need.
