- An expensive, purebred dog is at the heart of a felony larceny of a dog case in Raleigh. A French Bulldog named Blue, who is worth $4,500, was allegedly stolen by Markil Jacquease Jeffreys, an acquaintance of the owners, and then sold on Facebook Marketplace. According to WTVD-TV, "Jeffreys is charged with felony larceny of a dog and felony obtaining property by false pretense. He is under a $20,000 secured bond. Anyone with information about Blue's whereabouts is asked to contact the Wake County Sheriff's Office."(WTVD-TV)
- Celebrate Pride Month with the LGBTQ+ community and Raleigh Pride. There will be a month-long, city-wide celebration including downtown Raleigh, businesses, bars and restaurants. - Read With Me, A Children's Book & Art Shop, located in downtown Raleigh will be closing at the end of the month, after six years in business. The family that owns the business says they are closing so they "can open the door to new adventures and opportunities." The final 'reading circle' will be held today, June 10. (WTVD-TV)
