Here are the top stories in Raleigh today:
- There is a new option for a place to stay for guests visiting the area from out of town; it is the Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport Hotel. The second Westin in North Carolina, the new hotel has 200 rooms and is approximately 20 minutes away from downtown. (WTVD-TV)
- There may be a new needle-free epinephrine nasal spray out soon that will save lives. According to WRAL TechWire, "Byrn Pharma, [which is Raliegh based] is a privately held pharmaceutical company focused on creating a new treatment for anaphylaxis, a life-threatening allergic reaction, not only has a new CEO and COO but also $15 million in cash as the company seeks FDA approval for its unique nasal spray." (WRAL TechWire)
- There was a robbery at the State Employee's Credit Union on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. at 7800 T.W. Alexander Drive. The Raleigh Police Department is investigating the crime. According to WTVD-TV, "Investigators said a person entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The robber then fled with the cash. The teller said the robber implied they had a weapon but never officially showed it. RPD has not released any surveillance photos or a description of the robber." (WTVD-TV)
