• Dorothy Raye Martin, 83 (portcitydaily.com) — Shallotte residents are mourning the passing of 83-year-old Dorothy Raye Martin, who died in town on December 6 after a life devoted to family, faith, and service. A longtime member of New Vision Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, she leaves a large, loving family and a legacy of spiritual devotion and generosity that touched many across the region.
