• Robbins considers funding, cost for Ellie Jean Play Park (sandhillssentinel.com) — Robbins officials are weighing whether to accept a $75,000 grant from the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB for an accessible Ellie Jean Play Park while they pin down full project costs. Commissioners support the inclusive playground concept but delayed a vote until they see firm figures for grading and paving. Families of children with special needs urged the town not to let red tape stall the project.
