- Quinquetta Tyreesa Sansbury was arrested by the Wilmington Police Department for her involvement in a street robbery investigation. She faces multiple charges, including assault, larceny, kidnapping, and possession of drug paraphernalia, alongside a parole violation. The police believe Sansbury is part of a larger group responsible for street robberies, and further charges are anticipated as the case remains open and active.(WECT)
- Tesla is constructing a new Supercharger station in the Wilmington area, becoming the third charging station in Southeastern North Carolina. Located at the Lowes Foods parking lot on North College and Murrayville roads, the station aims to alleviate charging "deserts" and cater to Tesla drivers traveling to the beaches near New Hanover County. The introduction of Supercharger stations in Wilmington has resulted in increased foot traffic, longer customer stays, and potential sales for businesses like Mayfaire Town Center, prompting plans for the addition of more charging stations open to all EVs.
