- A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting at the drive-thru of a Little Caesars in Winston-Salem. The suspect, Christopher Paz, turned himself into police on Monday and was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm in city limits, attempted assault with a deadly weapon, and assault by pointing a gun and injury to personal property. He was given a $100,000 secured bond. (WGHP FOX8 Greensboro)
- A new cocktail bar, Dram & Draught, officially opened in Innovation Quarter. This will be Dram & Draught's sixth location in North Carolina, and the concept was originally started by Kevin Barrett and Drew Schenck in Raleigh in 2016. Dram & Draught opened on Feb. 16, but still awaiting additional signage deliveries before they host their grand opening. (Winston-Salem Journal)
- Salem College shares that they will be enrolling in their inaugural Master of Health Administration (MHA) class this fall. - With March being National Nutrition Month, it's officially time for March for Meals. This is a month-long, nationwide celebration of Meals-on-Wheels and the elderly adults who rely on this essential service to remain healthy and independent while at home. This program serves around 1,100 individuals every day, so they're in need of support to make sure every hot meal is delivered to those in need. (Senior Services Inc. of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County via Facebook)
- An elevated risk of fire concerns are expected across Winston-Salem and surrounding areas due to unseasonably warm, dry, and breezy conditions outside. Fires have the potential to spread easily, so officials are urging residents to stay away from any outdoor burning activities. (City of Winston-Salem, NC - Government via Facebook)
- Looking for a new furry friend to add to the family? The animals at Forsyth Humane Society are friendly, adorable, and spending extra time in the treat ball pit. Burger and his friends at the shelter are all available for adoption now. (Forsyth Humane Society via Facebook)
