• Zebulon Board Appoints New Commissioner (wakeweekly.com) — Zebulon’s Board of Commissioners has appointed Kyle Adams to fill the remaining two years of Mayor Jessica Daniels Harrison’s former board seat. The decision followed public comments from former candidate Jesse Brown and Davarus Gardner, who urged commissioners to let the Board of Elections resolve an earlier tie between them. 
• Catherine "Katy" Crosby Appointed as New Town Manager of Zebulon, Bringing Two Decades of Experience to the Role (hoodline.com) — Zebulon has hired Catherine “Katy” Crosby as its next town manager, with her tenure beginning in February 2026 after board approval earlier this month. With two decades of municipal and community development experience, including roles in Apex and Toledo, she says Zebulon’s rapid growth and diversity drew her to the job and align with her strengths in guiding organizations through change.
• Witnesses dispute hate crime, assault charges against man after weekend crash in Zebulon (cbs17.com) — Police and witnesses are offering sharply different accounts after a weekend crash in Zebulon led to serious charges, including hate crime and ethnic intimidation, against 27-year-old Austin Herber. The incident near Mack Todd Road and West Gannon Avenue began with a collision outside Smash Masters, and questions remain about whether a gun was used and what motivated the alleged assault.
