1. Fargo schools to digitize old yearbooks (inforum.com) — Fargo Public Schools alumni will soon be able to browse decades of Fargo North, Fargo South and Davies yearbooks online, thanks to a new digitization project. The Fargo Public Schools Foundation and Alumni Network have sent 128 yearbooks for archiving, preserving local school history from the late 1960s onward for families and future generations.
   

2. Moorhead man arrested after hours-long standoff in Fargo (valleynewslive.com) — Fargo police and the Red River Valley SWAT team arrested a 24-year-old Moorhead man Thursday evening after a roughly four-hour standoff at a residence in the 1500 block of Broadway North. Officers were assisting Minnesota corrections officials in locating a wanted person, and no gunshots were fired before the suspect was taken into custody and booked into Cass County Jail.
   

3. Fargo Police ask public to avoid 1500 block of Broadway North (am1100theflag.com) — Fargo Police are managing an active incident near the 1500 block of Broadway North, one block east of Ben Franklin and Holy Spirit schools, and are asking the public to avoid the area. Officers with guns drawn have blocked the 15th Avenue North and Broadway intersection, but Fargo Public Schools report no threat to students and normal operations at Ben Franklin Middle School.
   

4. Flu cases climb in North Dakota and Minnesota as winter arrives (inforum.com) — Flu cases are climbing quickly in Fargo and across North Dakota and Minnesota, and a nurse practitioner at Essentia’s West Acres walk-in clinic says she’s seeing more sick patients this week. Local health officials urge residents to get vaccinated, wash hands thoroughly, sleep well, and stay hydrated as winter flu season ramps up.
   

5. Exclusive: U.S. businesses are getting throttled by the drop in tourism from Canada: 'I can count the number of Canadian visitors on one hand' (wdctv.news) — Canadian tourism to U.S. border communities has dropped sharply, and Fargo-Moorhead’s visitor bureau says that means fewer hotel stays, less spending, and lost support for local jobs. A new congressional report ties the downturn to tariffs, political tensions, and a weaker Canadian dollar, with businesses from North Dakota to New England worried some of that cross-border traffic may never fully return.
