Nearly 1 million needles distributed in Fargo over past two years, Commissioner says (valleynewslive.com) — A Fargo city commissioner says a local harm-reduction program has distributed nearly 1 million needles over the past two years and is publicly pressing for details on its funding and oversight. Her social media post highlights discarded needles and budget documents tied to Fargo Cass Public Health’s Harm Reduction Division, which also provides supplies to curb HIV and hepatitis transmission.
   

2. A Major Punk-Rock Favorite Just Announced a 2026 Tour - Here's Where They're Headed (thestate.com) — Rise Against is bringing its 2026 North American tour to Fargo, with a show set for March 19 at the Fargo Civic Center. The long-running Chicago punk band is touring behind its latest album, Ricochet, and will hit major U.S. and Canadian cities before and after the Fargo stop.
   

3. New trail for off-road cyclists, hikers coming to West Fargo's Armour Park (inforum.com) — West Fargo is adding a new off-road biking and hiking trail in Armour Park, built and maintained by the volunteer Fargo Moorhead Trailbuilders. The unpaved path will wind along the Sheyenne River and through wooded areas, while remaining open to all park users and not disrupting existing programs. Construction is expected to start this spring after unanimous park board approval.
   

4. Woman dies in house fire south of Horace (valleynewslive.com) — A 64-year-old woman was found dead after a house fire south of Horace, drawing a multi-agency response that included the West Fargo Fire Department and Cass County authorities. Investigators say damage was largely inside the home, and the cause of the fire remains undetermined as Southern Valley Fire & Rescue continues to secure the scene.
   

5. Department of Homeland Security visits West Fargo Park Board to discuss cyber risk assessment (inforum.com) — Homeland Security officials met with the West Fargo Park Board this week to review a cyber and facility risk assessment, though the board took no public action afterward. The board also approved a 4% raise for Executive Director and West Fargo City Commissioner Amy Zundel, combining cost-of-living and merit increases that shape leadership of the local park system.
