1. Cole Carpenter With The Arts Center Receives Customer Service Award (newsdakota.com) — A Jamestown Arts Center instructor, Cole Carpenter, has been honored with the Chamber’s December Customer Service Award for going above and beyond to help a student in the After School Arts Program get home safely. The nomination praises his patience, care for kids’ well-being, and ability to spark a love of art. Residents can submit future nominations through the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce.
   

2. High Risk Sex Offender Notification (newsdakota.com) — Jamestown Police are alerting residents that a high-risk registered sex offender is now living within city limits on 9th Avenue SE. Authorities stress he has completed his sentences and is not currently wanted, and they urge residents not to harass him or those associated with him.
   

3. Jamestown Fire Department dispatched to report of grass fire Wednesday (jamestownsun.com) — Jamestown firefighters briefly responded Tuesday night to a reported grass fire behind Walmart that turned out to be a burned-off hose on a propane tank for a ground-thawing machine. Crews quickly shut off the tank, found no fire or damage, and cleared the scene within minutes.
   

4. Jamestown and Devils Lake Set Airline Boardings Record (newsdakota.com) — Jamestown Regional Airport just set a new November record with 1,068 passenger boardings, edging past its previous high from 2017 despite a statewide dip in air travel. State officials say the federal government shutdown caused cancellations and delays that hurt North Dakota’s overall numbers, but they still expect 2025 to finish as the state’s busiest air travel year ever.
   

5. Curtis Evert Page Jr (salinapost.com) — Jamestown readers may recognize the Page family, as Curtis Evert Page Jr. is remembered by his son Curtis Page and family living in Jamestown. The longtime mechanic and parks worker, who once ran a shop in Kensal, ND, is fondly recalled for his humor, hard work, and love of family, fishing, and the outdoors.
