• Metcalf Adds MIAC Offensive Player Of The Week To Her Resume (prestosports.com) — A former West Fargo Sheyenne standout, Maya Metcalf, just added MIAC Offensive Player of the Week to her growing list of college basketball honors. Now starring for Concordia in Moorhead, she scored a career‑high 24 points in a big win, becoming the conference’s first player this season to earn both offensive and defensive weekly awards.
   

• Cass County drug deaths surge past 2024 total with weeks left in year (valleynewslive.com) — West Fargo police have already handled 10 overdose calls this year, including three deaths, as Cass County’s drug fatalities have surpassed all of 2024 with weeks still left in 2025. Local officers say fentanyl, especially in powder form, is driving the spike and making investigations harder, while neighboring Fargo and Moorhead are also seeing rising overdose numbers.
   

• IrvinGQ to build maritime electronic warfare (EW) radar decoys to protect naval surface warships (militaryaerospace.com) — West Fargo is one of several sites where IrvinGQ will help build MK‑59 radar decoy systems that protect U.S. Navy warships from radar‑guided missiles. The $24.8 million contract centers on advanced floating decoys designed to confuse enemy targeting, with work running through December 2026 across facilities in Wales, North Dakota, Connecticut, and England.
