Fargo attorney appointed to North Dakota Ethics Commission (inforum.com) β A West Fargo resident, attorney Mark Western, has been appointed to a one-year term on North Dakotaβs state Ethics Commission, filling a vacancy left by a former commissionerβs death. Western, a longtime Fargo-area lawyer and community volunteer, brings experience in complex civil litigation, mediation, and nonprofit leadership to the role, which helps oversee ethical standards in state government.

Fargo builders help family after loss of 9-year-old son (thedickinsonpress.com) β A grieving West Fargo family is seeing remarkable kindness as Fargo-based Dawson Contracting builds them a free four-season porch in memory of their late 9-year-old son, James. The Millers originally sought a simple deck so James, who had severe disabilities, could enjoy the outdoors, but after his death the builders expanded the project into a much larger gift of comfort and remembrance.

Fargo man charged in domestic violence case involving pregnant woman (valleynewslive.com) β West Fargo police arrested a Fargo man after a woman reported a violent domestic assault at the West Fargo Police Department on 4th Ave E. Court documents say the pregnant victim described being restrained, injured, and threatened with a gun before officers recovered a handgun and booked the suspect into Cass County Jail on two felony charges.

5. Woman dies in house fire south of Horace (valleynewslive.com) β Emergency crews, including the West Fargo Fire Department, responded to a deadly house fire south of Horace where a 64-year-old woman was found dead inside. Investigators from Cass County and the State Fire Marshal are still working to determine what caused the blaze, while Southern Valley Fire & Rescue continues to secure the scene.
