• UND CONNECT awards support five new community-engaged projects across North Dakota (und.edu) — Williston high school students will soon have a new two-day Energy Education Workshop introducing them to local energy careers and technical skills, funded through UND CONNECT. Partnering with Williston High School and the Williston Basin CTE Center, the program will engage about 50 juniors and seniors in hands-on STEM activities while other UND projects support communities in Grand Forks and rural North Dakota.
   

• Accredited Status Shines A Light On Williston's Growth (hot975fm.com) — Williston’s Economic Development office has just been reaccredited as an Accredited Economic Development Organization, putting the city among only 93 such organizations nationwide. This recognition highlights the professionalism and long-term progress of the department, which has maintained high standards through rigorous reviews, documentation, and onsite evaluations since first earning the designation in 2018.
   

• Area high school scores: Dec. 16 (jamestownsun.com) — Williston High School girls dominated Dickinson 89–45, while the boys fell to Dickinson 89–59 in recent Class AA basketball action.
