Every person with an Instagram account anywhere near Cleveland already knows about the Rock Hall's unique design and Long Live Rock sign and about the Cleveland script signs scattered throughout the city.

But we found five locations in Northeast Ohio to give your Instagram photos the vibe that says you were at a fun location and posted a candid instead of you went there just for the photo.

If you want to give your feed the feeling of old Cleveland, then head to Cleveland’s Crystal Palace, as it was known when it opened. The Cleveland Arcade, which opened in 1890, features a massive, long skylight and ornate designs everywhere. It was also Cleveland's first building to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was the country's first indoor shopping center.

The balcony railings along the upper levels and the open multilevel structure still hearken back to the original inspiration for the building, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy. Some of the Cleveland heavyweights who financed the building included John D. Rockefeller, Steven V. Harkness, Louis Severance, Charles Brush and Marcus Hanna — recognize any of those names?

The Cleveland Cultural Gardens are a network of 33 gardens that were each cultivated by a different cultural or nationality group. In addition to flowers and trees native to each country, the gardens in Rockefeller Park (there's that name again!) included their country's cultural icons and symbolic sculptures. You'll find plenty of meaningful, beautiful backgrounds for Instagram here, especially if you want to customize by a certain country or type of flower.

The Solstice Steps in Lakewood were literally built to be used for viewing the sunset. They wrap 480 feet along the shoreline of Lake Erie. "Facing north and curving to the northwest, this site offers stunning views of Lake Erie’s sunsets," according to this article. "The steps face the point on the horizon where the setting sun reaches its northernmost point on the Summer Solstice."

And no one looks at the sunset without snapping a few gorgeous photos, right? Plan ahead to be sure you arrive with plenty of time to catch the sunset and plan your angles. The unobstructed view also offers amazing skyline sights.

Many northeast Ohioans have seen the massive field of sunflowers in Avon without knowing where they came from or why they mean so much. Maria’s Field of Hope now has two locations, the second of which is a Cedar Point-affiliated field of sunflowers. Both are free to access. It's great for an Instagram photo shoot with the field of little sunshine as your background, playing amongst the beautiful flowers. Learn more about the mission behind these fields here, and maybe leave a donation if you stop by for Instagram.

If lavender is more your color and flower of choice, then take a short trip to Luvin Lavender Farms to see a massive field of different types of lavender flowers, growing right in Ohio. An earthy, natural background for your Instagram photo will pop with these marvelous lavender accents to give the photo some interesting color.

According to the farm's website, it grows nearly "6,000 lavender plants with 20 varieties in a full range of colors from white, pink, violets, light purples and dark purples. Each variety having its own unique fragrance." Learn more here about how to visit the farm, events and the products that the farm makes and sells. Be sure to check for hours before preparing for your Instagram shoot, since it is a working farm.
