George Clooney Producing Docuseries On Ohio State Abuse Scandal
The award-winning actor will turn his attention to Dr. Richard Strauss' tenure at The Ohio State University.

COLUMBUS, OH — Award-winning actor and filmmaker George Clooney is producing a docuseries on the Dr. Richard Strauss abuse scandal at The Ohio State University.
Strauss, a team doctor for various men's sports teams at the school, abused at least 177 students during his 20-year tenure with the school, an independent investigation concluded in 2019. The report said it found a disturbing pattern of abuse at the university. Investigators said university staff knew of complaints and concerns about Strauss in 1979, but failed to look into the accusations.
Strauss died in 2005. Before his death, he ran a private clinic near the school's campus. The independent investigation into his conduct found university officials never reported him to law enforcement.
