Semi Truck Strikes Cars Killing 1, Injuring 21 In Ohio: Reports
Ten people went to area hospitals and 11 were treated at the scene, WLWT5 reported.
LIMA, OH — A man is dead and 21 other people were injured after a nine-vehicle crash on I-75 in Lima on Sunday, according to published reports.
A semi truck was traveling southbound when it struck several vehicles, causing the crash, at around 12:25 p.m. on Interstate 75 southbound in Allen County, Ohio State Police told WLWT5.
The semi, a 2019 Freightliner driven by 75-year-old Dale K. Anglin of Vermilion, hit several vehicles, causing the pileup, ABC15 reported.

Joseph Schwarz, 64 from Fairfield, Ohio, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles that was hit, died at the scene, the outlet reported.

Police told the outlet that four other people were taken to the Lima Memorial Hospital, six to the Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, and 11 were treated at the scene.
Lima Fire Department officials said that in addition to police all together five different agencies, including the Shawnee, Bath, and Perry township fire departments, as well as the Lima-Allen County Paramedics, aided at the crash scene.
The I-75 was shut down while officials investigated the crash, and while it has since reopened, the investigation is continuing, WLWT5 reported.
