Summer Campers at Seven Enchanted Care Learning Centers Donate More Than $2,300 to Children’s Cancer Research
Campers at the seven schools hosted lemonade stands to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research
Summer campers at seven Enchanted Care Learning Center locations in Ohio, including Columbus, Delaware, Hilliard, Marysville, Powell, and Westerville, recently donated more than $2,300 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. To raise money for the organization, campers sold lemonade and various treats to their fellow campers, families, staff, and teachers.
Enchanted Care Learning Center instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
