1. Get a jump on holiday shopping! Local handmade artisan market Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows’ is making a stop each weekend in November throughout Northeast Ohio. According to Cleveland.com, "For those unfamiliar, the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show line launched in 2011 and has been a community favorite ever since. This indie-inspired, handmade-only series of art and craft shows are held throughout Ohio year-round in different locations and at pop-up events. Each show brings in nearly 50 to 100 local artisans and crafters.This year’s November lineup includes: Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. George’s Fellowship Centre, 3204 Ridgewood Road in Fairlawn. Charity supported: Cleveland Animal Protective League · Nov. 12 and 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Rocky River Memorial Hall, 21016 Hilliard Blvd. in Rocky River. According to cleveland.com, "The Avon Lake School District will hold a community forum on potential facility upgrades at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Commons at Avon Lake High School. At the forum, the public will have a chance to ask questions about the future of the district’s school buildings. The biggest projects to be discussed are the replacement of the PreK-8 schools. Also under the preliminary plan, a current grades 7-8 building would become a grades 6-8 school, and some other schools would be transitioned to PreK-5 buildings." (cleveland.com)
