Here are the top stories in Avon-Avon Lake today:
- According to a Facebook post on the ALPD page, "recently we have been receiving spam comments on some of our posts. Frequently these spammers are also tagging some of our followers and inserting links to what appears to be ALPD apparel. ALPD does NOT sell merchandise. Spammers and scammers frequently use these tactics of "official" looking images and tagging other users in an attempt to get you to click. Sometimes in the comment section and sometimes by sending you a private message. Occasionally it will appear to come from an actual friend you have on Facebook but even these can come from hacked or copied accounts. We would like to remind our followers to not click links to unknown locations. Never give out personal information, account info or passwords online." (Avon Lake Police Department via Facebook)
- Avon High School’s Drama Club presents Clue, a play by Sandy Rustin based on the Paramount Pictures motion picture. According to a Facebook post on the Support Avon School page, "Tickets are on sale now! Don't miss out on this thrilling murder mystery based on the cult-classic film and classic board game. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave you in stitches as you try to figure out WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT! Performance Dates and Times at the PAC at AHS: Friday, Nov. 18 @ 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 @ 7:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 @ 2:00 p.m. Advanced Online Ticket Prices are $5 for Child/Student and Seniors and $7 for adults. At the Door Ticket Price are $7 for Child/Student & Seniors and $9 for Adults. Advanced ticket sales will not be sold on campus and available online only." Hope to see you there.
