Avon Lake School Levy Supporters Hosting Feb. 5 Meeting
Feb, 5 meeting will provide information and organize supporters.
Supporters of the proposed 8.28–mill May 7 levy are hosting an informational “kickoff” meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Avon Lake High School Commons.
The evening will be used to gather and help spread information and begin arranging help and support for the levy.
Levy supporters have formed a Facebook page to provide information on the 10-year levy. According to the page, The Merples--the exclusive group of the Avon Lake Chorale--will attend the meeting.

Last week, the Avon Lake Board of Education voted to proceed with a 10-year, $6.5 million emergency levy.
The annual cost per $100,000 valuation is $253.58.

A 9.04-mill levy was defeated in November by 675 votes.
