1. In an effort to make it convenient for all Avon Lake residents to attend the Facilities Community Forum, which will take place on November 10, the Avon Lake High School Key Club (along with several adults) will be offering babysitting services during the Forum. There will be one room for quiet movies and one room for play. They will also have greeters in the Commons to check the kids in and walk them down to the room. 2. It's that time of year! Time for The Winter Avant-Garde Art and Craft Show, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 26 at the Emerald Event Center. 3. Gardeners mark your calendars for The Avon Garden Club's next meeting which will be held at 6:30 p.m. November 15 in the Orchid Room at Miller Nature Preserve, 2739 Center Road. According to cleveland.com, "Lee Paulson, master gardener at the Summit County Extension Office will present “Horticultural Tips for Your Holiday Plants.” The public is welcome to attend.
