Here are the top three stories in Avon-Avon Lake today:

1. The cause of a fire that took two the lives of two people, as well as, the life of dog over the weekend is under investigation. According to Cleveland 19 News, "the Avon Lake Fire Department said two people are dead following a Sunday morning house fire. The blaze broke out around 7:20 a.m. at a home in the 33000 block of Redwood Boulevard. Firefighters said part of the residence collapsed during the fire, which took about 20 minutes to extinguish. Once crews got inside, they found one victim dead in the living room and a second victim in a bedroom, according to the fire department. A dog was also found dead in the bedroom, firefighters said. The victims’ identities are not being released at this time."(Cleveland 19 News)

3. The 57th Annual Avon Lake Band-A-Rama will feature seven outstanding bands from Ohio including the Avon Lake High School Band. This is a judged event sanctioned by the Ohio Music Education Association. The event will take place on October 15th at 6 p.m. at 175 Avon Beldon Road. Tickets are available at the gate. $8 general admission and $6 for seniors and children under 12. Hope to see you there! (Avon Lake Band)
