1. Don't forget, Beer Fest 2022 is now less than one month away! Mark your calendars and book your tickets today! The event will take place on August 27, from 1 - 7 p.m. at Miller Road Park. It will once again feature live musical performances all day and more than 60 different local and regional craft beers and wines from some of our area’s most popular breweries and wineries like Great Lakes Brewing Company, Thirsty Dog, Rhinegeist, Saucy Brew Works, Southern Tier, Fat Heads, Brew Kettle, Catawba Island, Destihl Brewery, DuClaw, Goldhorn, Millersburg, Rusty Rail, Sibling Revelry, Voodoo, Wild Ohio and more! 2. Time is running out! Today is the last day to register for your 2022 membership to the Avon Lake Football Club to be recognized in the Fall Sports Program and get your 2022 Yard Sign! According to the Avon Lake Football Club’s website, "the non-profit's mission is to promote football at all levels in the city of Avon Lake. Membership is open to all interested parties regardless of age, gender or race. Some of the club’s activities may include fundraising, team building, leadership development, player skill development, procurement of equipment / apparel and coordinating volunteer opportunities for the players. The success will be measured by the growth in the number of players in the program, player retention, the players development in the areas of academics, athletic growth/development and the realization of their responsibility to their teams and the greater community. The Avon Lake Football Club is a registered non-profit group 501 (C) (3). Your donations may be tax deductible (consult your accountant)." (Avon Lake Football Club)

• Nextdoor Neighbor, The 45s: Harald flew out of the house the afternoon of July 29. We are located on S. Point Drive near Lake Road. Harald is sticking around home, flying from tree to tree. If seen or heard (he cat calls, wolf whistles, makes kissing sounds, and sings la cucaracha), please reach out to me immediately. He's been singing and talking in the trees, but hasn't come down. Harald likes chips and bagels, so you may be able to entice him that way. He will step up on your finger, but sudden movements will scare him off. Please go slow.
