  1. According to 1330 WFIN, "President Biden made a surprise phone call to Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Wednesday, congratulating him on his reelection, Bloomberg reported. Biden has called a slew of Democrats who won their midterm races since Tuesday evening, but his call with DeWine may be the first he made to a Republican. DeWine cruised to victory over Democratic challenger Nan Whaley with nearly 63% of the vote. The call is particularly surprising given former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of DeWine. DeWine is one of several Republican governors who successfully fended off Democratic challengers on Tuesday." (1330 WFIN)
  2. Mark your calendars for The Karon P. Nakon Breast Cancer Foundation’s family-friendly Turkey Dash 5K run/walk, which will be held on Thanksgiving morning at Avon High School. According to cleveland.com, "Each registered participant will receive a Turkey Dash race shirt, and pumpkin pie, coffee, hot chocolate, water and fruit will be available at the finish line for everyone. Every year, more than 1,500 runners, walkers and spectators join together to move in support of financial aid for breast cancer survivors in Northeast and Northwest Ohio. The Turkey Dash has raised over $380,000 in the last 18 years." (cleveland.com)
  3. Ohio voters think the economy is weak. According to CNN, "More than three-quarters of Ohio voters said the nation’s economy was “poor” or “not so good,” according to the preliminary results of the Ohio Exit Poll conducted for CNN and other news networks by Edison Research. And nearly three-quarters of Buckeye State voters said inflation has caused their family severe or moderate hardship, with nearly two in 10 saying their difficulties were severe. More than half of those who cast ballots said that President Joe Biden’s policies are hurting, while about one-third said they are helping. The president is not that popular among Ohio voters – more than half disapprove of him, with more than 4 in 10 approving." (CNN)
