  1. According to Cleveland 19, "the suspect accused of breaking into an Avon school is on the loose, Lorain County CSI confirmed. Detectives need help identifying them. Police did not specify which school was broken into or when the incident occurred." If you have any information about this incident please call Avon Police Det. B.   2. A big congratulations goes out to Avon Lake High School senior Joseph Birk! According to a recent Facebook post on the Avon Lake City Schools page, "Joseph was selected for the All-National Chorus and recently traveled to Washington D.C. He was one of only four students selected from Ohio, and the only tenor!" (Avon Lake City Schools via Facebook)

Avon Lake City Schools applauded students in a Facebook post which read, "It was a great day at the Educational Service Center of Lorain County Academic Challenge competition for Lorain County middle schools! Learwood Middle School took home FIRST place in the grades 7/8 division!! Troy came in SECOND place in the grades 5/6 division! Great job students and advisors!"
