City to Pay Schools for Lost Stadium Revenue

Money lost when state declared All Pro Freight Stadium tax-exempt

will get more than $43,000 from the city to make up for revenue lost after was given tax-exempt status by the state last year.

City council unanimously approved Monday night a voluntary payment of $43,811.72 to the school district.

Mayor Jim Smith said last week that nothing has changed in terms of Avon Road being re-opened permantly. The re-opening, if it happens, would only be for the duration of the interchange construction.
