- A 30-year-old male went missing on Lake Erie Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. According to a Facebook post on the City of Avon Lake page, "Rescue efforts were suspended. Should you see an individual matching the following description below please contact 911: 30-year-old male, approximately 175 pounds wearing a lime green life vest, grey shirt and shorts in a dark green tandem kayak." Rescue efforts were suspended due to darkness and the lake conditions. Please share and be alert. Please stay alert from Sheffield Lake to Bay Village and the surrounding area."
