Crushers Booster Club Preparing for Season

Club supports, and sometimes boards, Crushers players

Less than a month from now, the first cry of "Play ball!" will ring in another season of baseball.

Behind the team is a group of volunteers helping the players with life in the minors. That group is the Crushers Booster Club.

Considering the players' salaries aren't exactly lavish -- the minimum salary for a Frontier League player is $600 a month -- club memebers focus on providing the little things that can make a difference.

Members sometimes board players in their homes, giving them not only an affordable place to crash but a friendly home atmosphere.

Members also give players bottled water, sports drinks and their favorite snacks for road trips.
