1. Avon on the Lake Garden Club news! According to a press release sent from Monica Kimmell.
   "The next meeting for the Avon on the Lake Garden Club will be on Thursday, November 3. The meeting will be open to the public at 1 p.m. at the Avon Lake Library. The program will be the Tales of a Garden Member in Traditional and Abstract Ways with Jane Bodnar. Jane is a current member of the Beachcliff Garden in Avon Lake and a former Cleveland District Director and a member of the Cleveland Flower Arrangers Guild and a certified flower show judge since 2013. She will present a demonstration of both traditional and abstract flower arrangements."
2. October is Fire Prevention Month! October 9-15 is National Fire Prevention Week! Look for Avon Firefighters in the schools this month to teach about fire safety and how to keep yourself and others safe in the event of a fire. (Avon Ohio Fire)
3. Join the community walk to help bring more mental health awareness programs to
   students. Let’s ALL walk together for one another! Bring your dogs, your kids, friends and family, Sunday, October 16 at 10 a.m. at 3701 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Avon. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit mental health awareness programs for students in local schools. The event is being sponsored by The Hope for B.E.S.T. and Cooper Kurtz Recycling.
