Flu Shot Necessity: Get Vaccinated Soon In Avon, Avon Lake

Lorain County Public Health officials are urging residents to start making plans to get their free flu shot.

AVON, OH — As health officials continue to grapple with COVID-19, many experts are now urging Ohioans to seek out a flu shot. The latest agency to make the call for influenza vaccines is Lorain County Public Health.

The Lorain County health agency will provide flu shots starting Nov. 1. This will provide the best protection through Northeast Ohio's flu season, their experts said.

“Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community from flu,” said Health Commissioner David Covell. “It’s possible to get infected with both flu and COVID-19 at the same time.”
