Free At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits Available In Avon, Lorain County
Fifteen sites throughout the county are now offering free COVID-19 testing kits to those in need.
AVON, OH — Free COVID-19 testing kits will be available at the Avon Library and at 14 other sites throughout Lorain County.
The at-home antigen test kids are for people who are currently sick with mild or moderate COVID-19 symptoms and for asymptomatic people who were recently exposed to the virus. Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) is partnering with a variety of organizations to make the testing kits available widely.
“Antigen test kits are best used as screening tools,” said Dave Covell, health commissioner at LCPH. “It is recommended that you ask a healthcare provider for a confirmatory PCR test if you get a positive home test kit result.”
