Lake Effect Snow Expected In Ohio: Winter Weather Advisory Issued
Parts of northern Ohio could get 4-6 inches of snow on Sunday, the National Weather Service warned.

AVON, OH — A winter weather advisory is in place for parts of northern Ohio on Sunday.
According to current forecasts, 4 to 6 inches of snow could fall in some communities. Lake effect snow started Sunday morning and could produce additional snowfall throughout the afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service said.
Bursts of snow could form quickly Sunday evening, forecasts warned, making travel difficult.

"An intense band of snow is pivoting into western Cuyahoga County. Visibilities will rapidly drop to or below a quarter of a mile and an inch of snow accumulation is possible within the next hour or so," the National Weather Service said at 2:05 p.m. on Twitter.
The winter weather advisory is in place through Sunday for the following counties: Erie, Lorain, Huron and Medina. However, snow is expected to fall in other parts of northern Ohio, according to forecasts.

Approximately 250 plow trucks are clearing snow from highways on Sunday, the Ohio Department of Transportation said on Twitter. Drivers should give the plows plenty of space.
