2. A body was found near the Lake Erie shore on Saturday evening. According to a Cleveland Patch article, "the Lakewood Fire Department was called to rescue the body after the U.S. Coast Guard determined their boats would not be able to reach the yet-unidentified male victim. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lakewood Police Department."(Cleveland 19 News)
3. The Avon Lake City Schools Foundation will be participating in Connect to a Cause on Thursday, Sept. 15. Connect to a Cause is a 12-hour crowdfunding campaign established by the Community Foundation of Lorain County. During these exciting 12 hours, people from across the nation can support local non-profit organizations serving Lorain County. When you donate during Connect to a Cause, you provide immediate financial support to local non-profit organizations and help them plan for the future by building their endowment.
