Dr. John Luellen, currently president for Mercy Health — Youngstown will assume responsibility for the new cross-market team as president of Mercy Health — Lorain and Mercy Health — Youngstown. Dr. Luellen joined the Youngstown market in 2018 as chief operating officer and assumed the role of market president later that year. He has an extensive background as an emergency physician, in health care management and in dedication to our ministry.

The two markets already share leaders for mission, legal services, and human resources. As the Lorain and Youngstown teams have worked closely together with various shared services, they have found efficiencies and similarities upon which we can build to further strengthen and align for the future.
